The First Private Company in the Egyptian Insurance Sector
Suez Canal Insurance is an Egyptian joint-stock company, established on October 10, 1979, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (159) of 1981, and Law No. (10) of 1981 on supervision and control. It is also subject to the provisions of Law No. (155) of 2024.
The company is subject to the supervision and control of the Financial Regulatory Authority, and is licensed to carry out property and liability insurance activities under license No. (5) of 1979 issued by the Authority. Suez Canal Insurance is the first private sector insurance company in Egypt, established under the umbrella of both the Arab Contractors and the Suez Canal Authority.
Since its inception in the Egyptian market, the company has achieved an optimal model and comprehensive experience in providing distinguished insurance services for national projects, private sector projects, investments, and others. Extending its role in supporting the national economy, the number of its branches has reached 29 branches distributed across all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
